📸 Learning iPhone Photography | Entry #1
Hey all!
It’s been a long-long time since I wanted to learn make great pictures and understand some photography. Unfortunately, as of now I have almost zero knowledge and same practice time in photography.
Here where I live there’s a great company which focuses on teaching how to take great pictures with iPhone, it's iPhone Photography School. I’ve been subscribed for their free courses for a while already, but never had the right time to start learning and practicing.
Now I’ve decided to change that and challenge myself to practice photography at least once a week. Here on Steemit I’ll share what the lesson was about as well as show my work, wether it’s good or bad – it’s something like diary to see the progress as it is. :)
There're various lessons - on photography in general, and on some specific features while taking photos by iPhone, there'll be also some editing tops as well. I'll just take a tutorial from the School, share with you some basic knowledge and show my works.
I hope that maybe some of you’ll also learn something from these my posts and thus we’ll make the life even more beautiful! ☀️
So, let's start with the first entry!
This time an email consisted of 5 techniques what to use when making landscape photos. I've decided to visit our local Kemeri National Park to take some photos.
- The first tip was to use leading lines, wether these are roads, bridges, trees or anything else. Here are my two photos where I tried to use it:
- The second tip was to add a human element. This was hard for me as I didn't have a model and there weren't many people when I took photos, but stele here is the photo:
- Another tip was to take photos on a dull day, as overcast skies serve as light diffuser. In such a way the light is evenly distributed, photos are sharp and it's easier to take good photos. When I took mine - it was just the day, the sky was completely overcast by clouds.
- Yet another tip was when making landscape photos to include some objects laying on the foreground. This helps to convey the scale as well as creates some depth in the photo. Here my imagination failed me, but still... :)
- And the last tip was to create symmetry, e.g. by shooting some nature which reflects in the water. Honestly, I hate symmetry. I tried to do this, but when I look now on the photos I see no symmetry. Don't ask me where I saw symmetry here! Guess there is a lot to learn.
P.S. I would appreciate any constructive criticism and comments!
Follow & stay in touch :)
Love,
