STEEM Needs Maintenance: This is my conclusion after facing some developments issues. | By @alejos7ven

UPDATE.png

I'm currently automating the rewards distribution for delegators on several communities around STEEM, but since a few days ago the bot that I'm using are failing in most of the cases for no reasons, there is not code issues or anything weird that could make it get down but it is happening. I'm not the owner of the current script that I'm using. I don't even know how to program using Python, the current language of this code, but I know basic things to deploy it. This code was provided by @symbionts team and I'm receiving the assistant of my cousin @damurq which is the current dev working on this code.

After analyzing the code together, we determined some possible causes for this conflict, and we will be working to find the flaw and continue supporting the communities in the process of distributing rewards. The main affected communities are @cotina, @hive-141434, @colombiaoriginal but other supported communities could fall into this if our suspects are right. We ask patience to delegators from this communities, we are working together them to bring your payments as soon as possible.

Whats happening here?

Due to the nature of the behavior of the script, the lack of exceptions at the code level and other observations made at a general level of the blockchain, I have come to the conclusion that this failure and probably others at a general level are some lack of maintenance in the RPC nodes that causes the data to not be returned correctly. Why?

  • Transactions too old fetched using condenser_api.get_account_history pluggin, check screenshots:

1.PNG

Last TRX 3 days old using Eco explorer.

2.PNG

TRX 5 days old using the steemit wallet.

  • Steemit are too slow these days due to the massive pressure in the main RPC node, we need the possibility to swich the RPC in any moment to a preselected list.

  • In my experience as STEEM dev, this pluggins NEVER are worked correctly in any RPC nodes listed here, or at least during the time I have been here. I'll be asssisting the communities as much as I can but the conclusion is simple

Steem needs maintenance

From my part, I think I'm still doing everything to benefit the platform, I hope that the information help the responsible devs to improve our experience as bloggers, I'm available to help if you need some extra word, you know what they says, two heads thinks better than one.
