6 Months Sober of Alcohol! [Plus, Inhibition/Excitation of neuronal cells]
I have spent over 15 years of my life, over half of my life, as an addict. I have struggled to overcome severe mental health disorders which exasperated the difficulties I faced with substance abuse. Finally, after extreme dedication and serious focus on my self and my health, I have begun to crawl out from under crushing weight of this rock on my back. Through the love and support of friends and family, I have come to understand that I am worthy of life. I am worthy of good health. I am worthy of an enjoyable life. A long road of struggle behind me, and more to journey ahead, I am grateful for the distance traveled and where it has brought me at this time.

Thanks for sharing your story and congratz on the 6 months of sobriety!
I plan to finally stop alcohol ( at least for a couple of months ) in November, at the next full moon. And you know what, I am looking forward to that, after not having stopped for a little more than a month, since my 18th or so. I'm 37 now.
P.S. I probably started drinking when I was 14 and started drinking seriously when I went to University but I have it pretty much under control for a handful of years now.

Wonderful that you have chosen to remain sober and at the same time your girlfriend chose to do that too! I'm so happy that you are healing in not only your body but your mind and your relationship! I've seen so many changes in you over our correspondence in the Natural Medicine discord channel and your posts - you seem so much happier! Congrats on the 6 months sober and I hope you remain that way for many more months years and decades, continuing on your healing journey!
