God Honors those who Honor Him
I will honor those who honor me. "1 Samuel 2:30.
Do I honor God the great goal of my life and the rule of my behavior? If so, He will honor me.
It may be that for a time I receive no honor from man, but God himself will honor me in the most effective way.
Being willing to be embarrassed for reasons of conscience will be found in the end that is the safest path to honor.
Eli had not honored the Lord by not governing his house well, and his children had not honored the Lord with a behavior worthy of his sacred office, and, therefore, the Lord did not honor them, but withdrew the priesthood from his family, and made young Samuel the ruler of the earth instead of anyone of their lineage.

We need to ask God to bless us with the ability to enjoy what He gives us
Ecclesiastes 6: 1-2
There is an evil that I have seen under heaven, and very common among men: The man to whom God gives riches and goods and honors, and nothing lacks everything that his soul desires, but God does not give him the faculty of Enjoy it, but the strangers enjoy it.
Each day ask yourself: What can I do on this day to honor the Lord?
