How to remove intersection part for 3D printing

Sometimes we have models which includes intersection, likes below:

That will make fail for 3D printer slicing, so we have to remove the intersection.

Create a cube big enough which can wrap the models into it.

Then add a boolean modifier likes below:

You can see the intersection part removed.
