Happy Holidays to anyone feeling lonely!

As an individual who is away from her family for Christmas/the Holidays, I want to wish every lonely person a wonderful day! I'm lucky becuase the handsome devil in this photo is currently with me, so while I can't say that we're totally alone, we are both away from our families today.

Choosing a life of travel definitely has its amazing points, but it's not always sunshine and happiness. There are sacrifices involved and sometimes quite a healthy dose of loneliness. Again, I can't complain becuase I have my partner, but I have done longterm solo travel in the past and I know how debilitating loneliness can feel.
Being alone isn't always a bad thing! It's often better to be alone than together with the wrong person or people (even if it doesn't always feel that way).
