WHAT IS YOUR VIEW ABOUT SOMEONE'S DRESSING

in Steem4Nigeria9 months ago (edited)

Hi everyone, this is @akwaowo. I will provide the most accurate response I can to these questions, as requested by the organiser. We find ourselves dressing at all times since we don't want to disturb those around us with our presence. Our clothing now plays a big part in making sure we are decent, as our nudity is our private matter.

What's your opinion on the saying, "You're addressed the way you dress"

We spend most of our time dressing, and it truly does reflect how we are seen. The adage "you're addressed by your clothes" only informs us that there is more to clothing than just what you put on. I've had the chance to attend interviews, and the majority of them typically have dress codes that indicate they expect some degree of consistency and decency in the way people wear their clothes. This basically means that, even before we speak, our clothing conveys a lot about who we are. When you see a guy or woman dressed professionally, even though they may not be, it conveys a sense of respect and responsibility. Even if we may not appear to be such in real life, it is the first thing that reveals who we are. Consequently, regardless of our true selves, it is how we display ourselves to the outside world

What's your take on dressing moderately?

I'm a huge supporter of appropriate attire. I don't think either a man or a woman should be needlessly exposed to attract people of the other gender. Nothing is more significant or decent than wearing in a way that demonstrates accountability and sets a positive example for others. If indecency is inevitable, it belongs in our bedrooms, not in public areas where people are expected to be comfortable. Certain situations dictate and anticipate that we should wear a certain manner; deviating from these norms might be uncomfortable for other people and seen as impolite. In general, I enjoy gowns that are worn in moderation!

What would you say about Trend and Indecent dress outfits?

Since trending clothing typically reflects recent social developments, there is nothing improper with wearing it. Some find this appealing because they think it demonstrates sophistication or being up to date with current events. However, the obscenity that some of them possess is something I would be discouraged by.

A trendy dress might be cool because they can sometimes be expensive, and you could question why some people like to flaunt their inappropriate choices.

I may not feel comfortable wearing trendy clothing in my modest area, but if it is within my budget, I will follow trends whenever possible.

Have you had the opportunity to advise someone on their mode of dressing? What reaction did you get?

I always keep my clothes to myself, save from occasions involving family and friends. My family rarely dresses more formally when we go out because we share nearly the same orientation. We evaluate them and find out if they have any inappropriate behaviour even before they are worn out. My friend's clothes choices have mostly been influenced by her, rather than me. My pals are essentially my sisters, and I don't keep many friends.

What is your definition of a modest dress. Is this only applicable to ladies?

Moderation serves as the definition of the word humble. This is an example of our way of operation being conservative. Without needing to yell, go overboard, or be constrained in whatever we do. Rather, we decide to make balanced decisions—not drastic ones. It demonstrates some level of accountability in our interactions and activity selection. Being modest is not limited to a single gender. Depending on the situation, either the man or the female is addressed. But this is louder in women mainly because they appear to be the ones who flaunt their bodies

Are all fashion agreeable to you?

Refusing to follow trends would be equivalent to endorsing inappropriate attire. I adore those whose clothing code serves as a fashion statement. I agree with the majority of styles, minus the accompanying indecency. I've always emphasised moderation or modesty, and I still
do.
