DIE IS CAST - by Akshat Ajay Sharma

DIE IS CAST

A moment that evokes a delirium

A delirium all different in nature- Pleasant, Soothing

Yet painful

To understand an illusion,

You need rise beyond reality,

a subjective approach

Recurring, amidst the most bright lights and

Least known images

All my eyes could see, was your face,

Beautiful” is a modest term to pronounce

All that you define

Those hazel eyes,

that see through that strong soul of mine,

Unintentionally, unwantedly.

For the time if I am ever in sight,

All I might receive is hatred,

or even worse,

Indifference

Forehead, which carries that invisible fate

Doth shine upon you from heaven’s and beyond

To kiss will be to find haven

A sanctuary blessed beyond nirvana

Lips, that smile upon the faintest joke,

And never for the words that came from South

Never for the face,

that yearned for that smile

Yet, is happy to see them smile

I long to use allegory of Corals and diamonds,

Of gods and angles, froth and sea,

Of sunflowers and roses, stars and sky,

Moon and night,

all can ever be

Pardon the foolish rhyme, for the first love,

Demands stupidity” – I say through this font

I remember 7th grade, a science exhibition,

Walking down at 4 pm, “Oh, So late

I’ll walk till your place

Is it mere tom-foolery to recall

and count those seconds again?

Your school uniform, a blue bag,

Ah – mere tomfoolery

Those golden hair, which would run haywire

Across the entire universe,

Curled at the edges, as you would wrestle

Every other second with them

and stroke them lightly

Behind your ears,

revealing them earlobes that shine

With simplicity of the words that strike

And trickle down that fair neck,

Which would inject envy amongst angels

And infuriate them to kill the world,

Destroy the mere existence

that denies them of their splendour

But then,

My world has crumbled down already,

May happiness shine beyond abyss and heavens

While you kindly excuse me

To pick up those pieces, reflecting these words.
