Today, I decided to become a Minnow. While my post title looks like a click bait, it is clearly because I have some mix feelings about the continuing my journey on Steem with this new status.

Can someone tell me the meaning of the number in the image above?

The Current Situation

The recent activities by @ned and Steemit Inc are no new news. Though it understandable why they had to pull off their delegations and secure their stake according to this post it does not take away the fact that this action is currently affecting me, many others and Steem as a whole.

Musing is one of the dApps that has facilitated my growth on Steem lately and in a week that I decided to be very active, I got hit back with the news of delegations being pulled away.

At the time of writing this post, musing had the below statistics;

Effective Steem Power: 88729.84
Steem Power: 10925.443 +77804.397 -0   
Voting Power: 73.988%
100% Vote Worth：$1.888
Current Vote Worth：$1.397

Musing has been recharging its voting power as it was at 12% the last time I checked about three days ago.

Some of my votes from musing were over $1 and looking at the current situation, it would be impossible to get such an amount as musing has to manage it's voting power.

I cannot tell exactly will be the way forth for me, may be someone can help give me some advises through a comment?

Disappointment Being A Blessing

Looking at a journey that started back in June 2017, Catastrophic would be a perfect word to describe my journey on Steem.

The low prices of Steem enabled me to grow my Steem Power to what it is today. I also give credit to some Steemian friends and to the Redfish Power up league hosted by @paulag (Check out the league or that hosted by @steemcommunity)

I remember having just 103SP on the 3rd of December 2018 (after 17 months on Steem) and today which is 44days later, I am celebrating being a minnow with the below stats;

In all, I would say my mentally did change with the bear. I decided to be more active than ever on Steem in order to take advantage of the bear situation and grow my Steem Power. I will continue with this mentality to the best of my ability!

I am happy to have reached 500SP and of course, this does not stop me from powering up to the best of my abilities. I am even looking forward to buying some more SP in the coming days.
