Different Races, One Friendship: Teardrops Of Happiness For My Daughter And Her Friends

Yesterday, my daughter asked me if she can invite her friends at home. I said yes without hesitation. She said all her classmates wants to come in our house. Lol! (What?!!😲) But she decided to allow 2 friends to come every Friday. (Oh that's better. Lol! )

When she got home. She had her 1st set of friends, Melissa and Daniele. Melissa is a Romanian while Daniele is an Italian.

I prepared lasagna and grilled chicken wings for them. I bought waffles also. Juliana showed how she eats rice to them and asked them to try. They politely resist saying that they will have pasta.

After eating, they played Wii. Mariangela joined them in their play.

I watched them as they play I told to myself, my daughter is lucky after all. She got friends in the school. (The 3 of them are classmates from 1st grade).

I was worried before about discrimination issue. But I never heard her complain about anyone. So I thought she have good classmates and school mates as well as good teachers. That's more than enough for me. No racial discrimination. No bullying. It's perfect. 😃

After playing, they made their homework. After that they played again.

At 4pm, it's time to go home.. They were fetched by their moms and they are just so thankful.(Imagine having a free nanny for 4 hours😜) Just kidding.

But I am more thankful. Why? Because I got the chance to observe the kids. They are just too natural and no pretentions. They may be of different races, spoke different languages and many other difference but it's not a hindrance for them to have a special bond called friendship aside from being classmates. I hope when they grew up they will still be friends.

I'm looking forward for the other sets of her classmates to come for the coming Fridays. I hope it will be as fun as the first set. 😍
