Today is Eid - those that do not know Eid, it is a day of celebration for Muslims. After a month of fasting, where no eating or drinking is allowed from dawn till dusk, we can finally eat and drink.

If you have never fasted before, it is not only spiritually satisfying because it brings to the forefront, your mortality, but it embues your soul with empathy for those that have nothing and in addition it is good for your body, cleansing it off any crap you may have put into it.

Stopping smoking is a willpower thing - you will probably find in Muslim countries during Ramadan, cigarettes sales go down.

The day started off great - I woke up at 7.30am (not so great) got ready, went downstairs and ate breakfast!! After this went to the Mosque for Eid Prayer - hugged a bunch of people and wished them well.

I hope everyones Eid was great and those that are doing it tomorrow, hope you also have a great Eid.
