teens addicted to games
Teenagers who are addicted to games seem to have stronger connections between different parts of the brain. And while that's not necessarily a bad thing for brain function, it can also lead to a greater likelihood of psychiatric disorders simultaneously.
In the study, the researchers took action on fMRI scanning of the brains of 78 male teenagers diagnosed with internet gaming disorders, and 73 other subjects without any condition. Then they compared the relationship between 25 different areas of the brain in the addicted subject compared to the controls.
