Ethereum's next big update is coming and now that the Shappella upgrade is launched and people have started unstaking their, Ethereum developers are now moving to the next big thing. The Ethereum developers are starting to discuss what the next upgrade is going to be. The next upgrade aims to make Ethereum cheaper to use and after the recent spike in gas fees when it starts to cost $20 to $40 to do swaps on Uniswap all because of the meme coin stuff. We need to address the meme coins situation so that new meme coins like Pepe and others saw a bit of sandwich bought which pushed gas fees up over 10x.

This new Ethereum upgrade will attempt to low gas fees by making changes to Ethereum's two main net layers, the execution, and the consensus layer. The upgrade gets its name from the combination of the execution layer changes which are called Cancun and the consensus layer called Deneb. The biggest change for the upgrade comes from EIP-4844 which is known as Proto Danksharding. Thai change is designed to bring transaction fees down for Layer 2 scaling solutions like Abitruim and Optimism. This is no target date for launching but probably be something later this year. The widest thing happening in Ethereum is that stake Ethereum just hit a new high, far from the massive sell-off and we are now seeing a new high for total stakes ETH which is very interesting.

Right now, China is really piloting and using the digital Yuan and now there they have passed 100 million dollars in digital Yuan spending. The way monetary policies are going in the world, China is getting ahead of the race. This is a big move to start paying civil services via digital RMB which is essentially the way the world is moving.
