I'm always one to diversify my Steem portfolio and maximize profit where ever I can. So, generally, I would say "Yes"; however, I voted for option #2 because I have noticed that some users opportunistically place gratuitous tags in their posts that have nothing to do with said Steem Tribe's mission and culture.

Yes, if you paste wrong tag by failure or misjudgment they can downvote you and you should accept it as that will influence just that front end, and don't forget to chose tags that should be in your post. It can happen but it is not a big deal if you get to know why and where you made a mistake.
