Introducing People to Steemit Through Facebook

Introduction

I am @ajremy (the teen with steam for steem). I joined steemit in August last year and ever since I have been enjoying life on the blockchain. Due to my wonderful steemit experience, I have taken it upon myself to tell as many people as I can about steemit. A few people I've brought onto the platform are @sirsticks, @kimberly1, @jasperbelle @oluwafemidrola, @bobbyr and so on. However, I discovered that I could not achieve much just trying to introduce people face to face. This was why I decided to move my work to facebook. It's no secret that facebook is more or less the most widely used social network. This greatly influenced my decision to create a facebook page.

Audience

To achieve my aim of introducing as many people as possible, I decided to take my campaign both online and offline. So I created called Steemit Promotion. Here is a link to my page. I did an ad about steemit giving some primary details about what the steemit platform is all about and its benefits. I promoted the ad to reach a selected target of people in Nigeria. I targeted men and women between the ages of 15 to 55 who had interests in money, crytocurrency, blogging, writing etc because I believe those are the set of people who would really be interested in steemit and would easily be active if they join the platfom.

Activity

I did two separate promotions for the post. My first ad ran for 7 days and I'm currently running another ad which is slated to end four days from now. I also created an Instagram account in connection to the Facebook page which allowed my ads to also run on Instagram.

I engaged in various interactions with people who either had inquiries or problems with signing up. I taught them more about the signup procedure and encouraged them to signup. I also replied to all comments on my ads and all page inbox.

Results

Here is a snapshot of the results of my social activity for this project.

As you can see in the picture above, my first ad reached 5,896 people and there were 3,781 engagements.

So far, my ad has reached about 6,094 people with 3863 post engagements as well as a whooping 90 clicks in total. The best thing is that it keeps climbing as the minute goes on.
