As he continues to ascend, he began to get a partial glimpse of the horizon.

Feeling heartbroken and finally at the peak, nothing!

Squinting, his hand positioned at his forehead -something!

Yes, he saw something.

Something looking like a tiny structure with a cross on it.

It could be a grave.
Nahhh!
If yes, it would be a huge grave.

He chuckled.

But that must be a place of worship or a hospital.

Eagerly, he began his descent to a known destination.
To the church or hospital.

I must have embarked on this journey to wherever at the break of dawn, as the day remains bright and no sign of darkness on the horizon still.

Moving fast, almost faster than his legs could carry him.
He started to gain a better view of the tiny structure - now a bigger structure with a cross on it.

It should be a hospital or a place to seek welfare.

But he just believed he would get his answers when he gets there.

At the doorstep of the "tiny structure with a cross on it", he extends his hands to knock.
The door slid open on its own accord.
