The Famous Hall of Mirrors - Palace of Versailles 🏰 This vast Gallery(73 mts in ...
... length, 10.5 mts in height & 12.3 mts in width) was constructed in 1678 by Jules Hardoiun Mansart - a renowned Grench Architect.
It has 17 windows matched by 17 arches, decorated by Mirrors.
The Gallery served as the Kings daily passage to the Queen's room & to the Chapel. It also served for Celebrations, Extraordinary Audiences, Recieving Ambassadors & for Masked and fance-dress balls.
But, most importantly, The Treaty of Versailles was signed here on 28 June 1919, to end the First World War ⚔️🛡️
That's some History for everyone, and as of today the place is swarmed with tourists & history enthusiasts (like me) and everyone trying to click the perfect picture for Social Media platforms.
