Shady Mauve
A little fun with gouache on black paper today. I have been experimenting on white papers for quite a while now and thought of trying it on some different colored surface. This took me about 2 hours to paint which was totally unexpected because I assumed it to be easier. But gouache tends to behave very differently as it takes a lot of pigment for opaqueness. A little extra dilution and the paper absorbs the paint. I used a normal black paper from some of the scraps that I had left.
I managed to push my work till the first rays of sunlight today and took the pictures of this piece in my mini garden. I don't know why but I really like using greenery in my work sometimes. Anyway, let me know what you guys think?

I didnt. What I practiced was pastel and it was just a couple of months.
