A Day In Copenhagen - I
Today I will be sharing some pictures from a day in Copenhagen which I spent exploring the architecture and some popular spots in the city.
I had only a few hours of daylight left so the first place I visited was the Parliament House. The Christiansborg Palace is built on the small island of Slotsholmen in Copenhagen which also houses the 3 powers namely, the legislative, the executive and the judicial power. It was completed in 1928 also facing 2 fires in the early years.
It is an incredibly large area to cover on foot but totally worthwhile because it is designed in such a way that keeps the viewer fixated on itself. Unfortunately, there was very little sunlight so the photos seem quite gloomy.
After checking out the palace and some really cool cars outside, I went ahead to the see a few more places while also getting a glimpse of the Slotsholms Canal, an amusement park and some interesting statues on the way. It felt quite ecstatic to actually see the elements of different architectural styles which I had only read in the books/design projects.
I think it was already past 3 by this point and the visibility was getting relatively lower. The only thing that I could feel was hunger and cold! :P But thanks to me starting my day a little late, I couldn't waste time on a relaxed snack.... To be contiued in Part II.
