Respect also needs to be measured these days
Respect is misunderstood by many these days. When one person gives enough respect to another, some people take it as an opportunity to increase their influence. Considers self very important, and treats the honoree as small or insignificant. This kind of mentality means that in this era, before giving respect, many times have to be measured.
Respect is a valuable quality, which should be mutual. People should be respected for their work, character, and contribution. But it should be in such a way that it does not turn into arrogance. Those who are truly honorable never pour it into their pride but remain humble.
Indeed, respect can only be found in its truest sense, when it is received with tolerance. Respecting others means showing appreciation for them, recognizing their actions, and showing respect for them. But those who deserve respect never impose that respect on others or use it to prove their superiority.
Respect is therefore something that should be measured, but this does not mean that we should stop respecting others. Rather, we must understand to whom and when that honor should be given. True respect is fulfilled only when the receiver humbly accepts it and evaluates it by his behavior.
