FALL AWAY
Do you see me the way that I see you?
Do you notice how hard I try?
Or do you buy my illusion?
Do you see beneath my beautiful?
Why do I fall short when everyone seems perfect
Or do we all wear a mask
And tuck away our imperfections
Buried deep beneath the grounds of our souls
I'm just a puppet pulled by the strings of my flaws
As I shape my flesh around them
And only when no one watches
Do I really fall away
Am I doomed to serve my flaws
Or am I just
A diamond with a flaw
