Motivation Monday with @mr-aaron
Hi everyone, welcome to the Monday motivation, exclusive to the @airhawk-project. There is a saying that time waits for no man and as you can see, 2018 is gradually moving. So I welcome you to the second Monday of 2018.
Last week we discussed "motivation is not real, it's nothing but a matchstick." Which I'm sure by now most of you would understand how to get the best out of 2018 by applying all we discussed. If not you should read it here.
- Today I'll be sharing a very valuable lesson I learned from one of earth most industrious creatures - the ant. What is so special about the ants, you may want to ask.
Could it be for the fact that for every one human on earth, there are about a million ants? Maybe not.
I saw an ant struggling to carry another dead insect that was much bigger in size than it was but it could not. The weight of the other insect made it impossible. I expected the ant to turn back and pick something its size and leave this for the bigger guys. The ant walked away from the dead insect and I felt it has finally done what it's supposed to do. But I was wrong. The ant came back to this insect and guess what it did? The ant chewed the dead insect at the joint dividing it into parts. And it was able to carry the small parts. And in no time, other ants joined too as they cleared the dead insect.
So what about my story? How is it related to you or what have I found special about a tiny ant looking for its daily food?
Look at the goals you set this year and compare it with the one you had last year. You will notice there are some things you planned to do last year but they are still there this year. You are yet to do them and this year is going again but you don't know how to start or go about them.
Could it be that you are like the ants with something too big to carry? Maybe you are too ambitious or your dreams are "too" big?
Goals and dreams are meant to be very big. Our ambitions are meant to be very big but sometimes they get so big that it becomes difficult or impossible to carry them. It now starts to give us issue and concern.
Just like this ant, you should learn to break down your goals into smaller units. As Henry Ford once said, "the biggest goal can be achieved if you Just break it down into enough small steps."
Start with the weakest part of your goal and divide it into smaller parts. Start with the past of your goal that doesn't involve money. Start from the part it will take you only days to accomplish. Just start somewhere and you will realize that for each task completed, you are now motivated to do more.
Remember, motivation is not real, it's nothing but a burning matchstick.
It's not about who reads this but it's about who is willing to do it. This world does not celebrate the motivated but the ones who do things.
Have a great day.
I love this @mr-aaron.
It's indeed little drops of water that makes an ocean and little steps that complete a marathon.
How I hate attacking accumulated work, makes the task look impossible when it could have just been something little if it had been tackled in bits at the right time.
I have to do as you have said...
Thanks for this motivation.
Cheers
Talking about accumulated works. Cryptocurrency thought me the real danger of delay of u know what I mean
And to add to all you've said, @drepo15, it is a single tree that start a forest. Thanks for reading and do have a great week ahead
Great way to start a week...A lot of people want to do it big at once, so they ended up doing nothing...yea absolutely nothing. Dream big, do it big if u can and have the resources but if not break it down and do it in bit. Moving slow is better than not moving at all. But I have stopped reading motivation a while. It is not getting your spirit lifted, it is about lifting your body and doing. And over analysing is also a big problem, analyse a bit and just to do it.
Thanks for your beautiful contribution. Reading motivation is not what guarantees success. Although sometime they are needed to lift our spirit to do greater things.
In addition, the food that Ant will eat in next 6month,they have gathered and store it, they work ahead of future.
Let's apply this principle, let us work today for our future. We can start now, never too late,
Start working towards your goal now and see if God won't back you.
Thanks for the Author of this post and blessing for the doers.
Thank you so much for writing this wonderful contribution. We sure should start now, where we are and also with what we have. Have a great week ahead.
Wow, lot of lessons to learn from ant. Reading this has motivated me and has already made my day.
This week is gonna be great.

And nice post
Thanks @sophiaessoh for reading. Have a great day.
What more can you ask for to start a great week. This is just so great! Thanks for sharing
Thanks @prechi for coming by. Have a wonderful week ahead.
Great motivational piece! I really like your analogy, using the ants to explain how breaking goals down into small steps can make something that seems impossible simple to do. Thank you for reminding me, I really needed to see this! Following @airhawk-project
@rball8970 thanks for stopping by
Extraordinary story of the ant, where all are helped to help others
Thanks for your comment
I find dividing goals in small pieces, really a usefull thing. Same applys for problems, that seem unsolvable. Breaking them down in half, and then in smaller bits, helps alot. Of course it is always easier said than done. :)
