What is the date of Independence Day in your country and from whom your country took independence?
Pakistan can celebrates its Independence Day on the August 14th in each year. The country gained from the independence from the British rule in the 1947. This day marks the end of the British colonialism and the an establishment of Pakistan as a separate nation or primarily for Muslims and following the partition of India. The day is celebrated with great enthusiasm or including flag hoisting ceremonies, parades and cultural events as Pakistanis remember the struggles and the sacrifices made to achieve independence.
Who is a prominent national figure associated with your country's independence, and why are they important?
A prominent national figure associated with the Pakistan's independence is Muhammad Ali Jinnah also known as for the "Father of the Nation." He played a crucial role as a the leader of the All India Muslim League and was the driving force behind the creation of Pakistan. Jinnah's vision and leadership were an instrumental in securing a separate nation for Muslims where they could live according to their cultural and religious values. His efforts was led to the successful formation of Pakistan in 1947.
Do the people of your country perform any special activities on your country's independence day? Tell us about them.
On the Pakistan's Independence Day people were engage in various patriotic activities to celebrate. The day begins with flag hoisting ceremonies across the country including a major event at the Presidential and the Parliament buildings. Parades or cultural performances and fireworks are common to showcasing national pride. Many people decorate their homes or streets and vehicles with flags and lights. Special prayers are offered for the country's prosperity and their speeches recalling the sacrifices of independence are delivered.
Why do you think independence is compulsory for a nation or country?
Independence is essential for any nation as it allows people to govern themselves make their own laws and to protect their cultural identity. For Pakistan independence meant the ability to create a state where the Muslims could freely practice their religion and live according to their values. It is provides the freedom to shape the nation's future or control resources and pursue prosperity without the external interference. Independence fosters national pride or unity and a sense of the belonging among citizens.
