Wrong number of post shown on users profile description - Steemit
Expected behavior
The expected behavior was to load different users profile and see their number of post which was not but the information displayed was wrong.
Actual behavior
The actual behavior was when try loading someones profile even tho they had one post it showed 11 posts 15 posts on the top but where as there was only single post where as even in my profile i have done a check on my profile i have around 47 posts but it shows 51
How to reproduce
Steps to reproduce the bug
- Open steemit
- Click on someones profile
- Check the posts they have made
- Check the total no of posts given in the description in their profile
- Browser: Google chrome
- Operating system: Windows 7 ultimate 64Bit

This is actually the expected behavior. Each post and each comment count as 1 "post" as shown in condenser. This number is part of the account information of each steem account in the blockchain. The number is typically the sum of contributions in the "Blog" and the "Comments" tab in Condenser. However, if a users deletes a post or a comment it is not shown in "Blog" or "Comments" anymore, but since it is still in the blockchain it is still counted as a post. So you can have user accounts with a non-zero "Post count" but empty "Blog" and the "Comments" tabs in Condenser.
well if that is the case then it should display the correct count of the comments too but as u can see in the video that is not the case so it should be considered as a bug mod :)
Posts and comments are the same type of blockchain operation, the only difference (apart from a few minor rules) is that comments have a "parent". This count is (correctly) shown in condenser. A differentiation between posts and comments is not available without changing the steem implementation or parsing the full(!) author history.
