In case you care...

9 months ago, when i joined steemit, obviously i had no idea about all the things i can or should or shouldn't do here on steemit. I read it in someone's blog that "you supposed to try everything" so you can decide what works for you or what doesn't. So that's what i did. I did start using the upvoting bots not too long ago, because i noticed that it makes my reputation score go up faster. This was fun for a while, but only till i reached 60, since that was my "dream" when i started. :-) really.

When i first started, i figured, since i am an artist and i am creative, and i have a lot to show, and i don't need to go to the web to copy some bullshit news over here, i will do just fine.
Now, 9 months later, this is exactly the kind of thinking i am getting back to.

First of all, i don't have the kind of money to pay these bots to get my post
to be really visible. And that's ok. In fact it took me a while to find out that
it's one of the reason people do it in the first place.
I am also more of a modest person, i see great talents here, no need for me
to try to "be on top". I have fate that people will find me and my art if it was
meant to be :-)

Also, i can not help noticing that ever since i started using the bots i have lost some of my supporters who actually helped me on the beginning. I wonder if i ever get an upvote from them again.

So... now i am starting a new journey if you wish,
where i am curious to see how well can i do without these "games and tricks ".

I hope i can count on the ones here who i feel close to, and i am looking forward
to meet new people as well. Who get what i do and like my art and lifestyle.

And if things go well, maybe one day i can take some money out of this
game for the FIRST TIME! :-)

Does anyone have a link to an EASY step by step video on cashing out ,
so i can be prepared ?! :-D
I am actually serious.

Thank You for reading !
See you guys around !

I've never used bots. One of my friends has signed me up to some bot without telling me, I don't even know which one. But otherwise I guess I'm the only fool not using them and having one single account.

I use bots occasionally, I used minnowbooster once and minnowsupport twice this week. It seems to cheese off curators, but If I put a lot of work into something and it goes ignored it can make me feel really sad. It does seem almost everyone is using them these days.

I don’t use Bots (not that I post anything anyway) but I don’t agree with using them either. Seems like a way to “cheat” the game. Before Steemit removed the post Views, you could really see how broken the system was. A post would have 50 votes but only 10 views for example.

I believe a reputation should be earned and not bought. That being said, I think you have earned it from what I’ve seen. You have great art and nice posts. I do miss seeing your contests even though I did not participate in them too much.

Anywho, I have no idea how to cash out. Good luck with that.

The beginning for all is difficult and much more for a person who is not very familiar with the new. effort and dedication sooner or later pay off. Go ahead and I will follow you as well as I have been doing for a while ago when you published your contests.

I am not completely certain that all bot activity is harmful...you can choose to be very highly selective and only support the ones that actually engage with and give back to the community. Most of the corruption seems to happen with the all-for-profit schemes and these ones probably do cause harm to your reputation. But there are one or two that cost next to nothing and are maintained ethically. They have teams that also manually review the content being uploaded...have contests or provide extra curation and visibility potential. These ones can't really make you took bad to your followers and you can certainly meet more supporters this way! <3

Interesting take, having just talked about this and did an experiement with a few posts using bots, was still kind of on the fence. I've just decided I'm not using them but if I have a post I think I'd want to 'get out there more' then I might use it, but simply say in the title that I am doing so.

It seems a hot button issue, which I didn't realize until I asked Steemians in my post.

When I will be level 60 I will stop using them too :-) The upvote bots I use for texts that i want to be seen, when I have a contest, or when I think it is very informative. The only bot I really really appreciate is steembasicincome SBI I love it, not because that vote is so important, but the idea behind it. In normal life I am also a Pro basic income. You buy a vote for your self and someone else for a life time. I also do like curation trails, I like you, erikah, vee, and go on, and make sure I will vote on a few of your posts a day, just because I do want to help even when I have not got the time to read it. That is also a upvote bot, but one you rule your self. I love it. And @agneslaczo I have take one time 20 euro of, just to know how it worked so I can help you with that, but the way I did it you need a dodge account.
