A glimpse of what's to come
The video I made earned $34 dollars in steem and sbd, 210 DTC, and 59PAL. I know not everyone can make a quick video and do that right off the bat, but I think the multiple tokens, chains, and tribes is really going to propel the shit out of this place.
I keep getting messages that "steem is dead" or some other nonsense. I don't think people realize the powder keg that steem-engine tokens powering tribes for other businesses and communities represents. Imagine mainstream games making their own token and community so when you visit the forums in say league of legends you're also getting paid in their token, which they also happen to accept for some skins. I think it'll be a mad house as larger and larger existing communities embrace this.
Should be fun. And the following isn't financial advice. But I think the people dumping steem at 40 cents are foolish. Find another place that will let you create a tokenized blog, forum, and video platform for under $2k.
Steem (not Steam) is compelling as a platform for games. It provides the complete package to game developers by providing instant infrastructure for fully ownable & tradeable in-game items, an in game currency and market, community content platforms with token earning (proof of gamer brain) and rewards for promoting the game.
Devs can just concentrate on gameplay and let Steem provide everything else.
Only problem is that people are going to get very confused between Steem and Steam!
I'm hooked on steem monsters, I understand the potential of steem and believe in it more now than ever before!

I agree. I love gaming. I wanted to upload my video clips on dtube back then but it was difficult to do so. Now that they let us use the YouTube link I can just upload it using the link. I think that's the massive + for dtube.
Pardon me. I've been off for a long time so am unaware of Pal tokens.
I just think I'm going to keep making different gaming videos.

I'm very excited about what is happening with tokens. I love that one post can earn various tokens. With Steem in the 40 cent range now is the time to be powering accounts and getting in on tokens.
I have been posting a daily Actifit report and didn't really think about the tokens, but when I see what people are willing to pay for them, I was very pleased. It has me rethink my strategy for using the Steem blockchain.

I think this place is starting to live up to the original vision, which is to have Steem as the underlying blockchain for dapps beyond blogging.
Personally, I’m waiting for e-commerce. But, what Steem Engine is doing is plenty to put flesh on the Steem skeleton (as in scaffolds, not a dead thing). Excited as well.
I’m also excited that despite the selling, Steem has held its price. I could stand it to go up a little more, but preferably after I level up.
