Tips for Steemit Beginners – Based on my experiences
Hi guys, I immediately decided to revise my first post by adding busy.org on my tips. These tips are for steemit beginners. As the title implies these tips are based on my experiences.
Again, these tips are not about “get big payout” quickly. Instead these tips will get you into right start on “what you should do” to be a successful steemit blogger in the future.
DISCLAIMER
This article is a work in progress. I may add additional informations later on.
To the steemit beginner that is reading this article I'll be frank with you so that you will know what to expect as a beginner in this platform. Unless you are a famous celebrity or famous in your own right getting upvotes in your every post is hard. Unless a community or group got your back upvotes are hard to come by. Unless you got 5,000 – 10,000 followers upvotes will be scarce.
There are no perfect tips on how to be successful on steemit. Some of the tips I am going to mention may not be applicable to everybody. Some might me applicable, some might not.
The following tips are my personal experiences since I joined Steemit in September of 2017.
Post quality content
This one is a no brainer. Every blog needs quality content to be successful. Do not copy paste from the internet. If possible, you should only post contents that you own or your original works.
Join steemit groups or communities
Joining steemit groups or communities will help you get on a right track. Groups or communities can give any help that you can imagine regarding steemit. One good group that I can recommend is steemPH (discord) if you are from the Philippines. Most groups or communities have a feature wherein you can promote your posts and even got an upvoting bot to boost its members’ posts.
Interact with other users
Aside from joining groups and communities you also need to interact with other steemit users by commenting and upvoting on their post or comments. I consider "interaction with other users" as a dirty work since there is no guarantee that the users that you interact with will return the favor. Bu
Interacting will boost exposure and presence to the platform.
Post on a regular basis
What does it mean by a regular basis? Do not post every hour or every 30 minutes. Phase it, if you are aiming to post 3 articles a day then make a 6-8 hours interval in your every post. If you want your article to be consumed by your countrymen then post at daytime. if you want your post to be catered to foreign countries then post at nighttime, since nighttime on your country is daytime in the other side of the world.
Use Busy.org
You can use busy just by logging-in to the website. Use only your posting key for security. You have to post using busy.org then add a #busy as one of your tags. You need followers to have at atleast 500 SP combined to be eligible for voting by the busy bot. A user can only be voted by the bot once every 12 hours. Here's a link to the full introduction of busy.org bot:

Finally, you can use bots such as @minnowbooster and @minnowsupport
Bid based upvoting bots are good but risky, sometimes you might get negative return of investment because of bid demands that come up with them. But there are two voting bots that I can recommend, first is @minnowbooster, with minnowbooster you can pay/send a minimum of 0.01 SBD and get a guaranteed profitable upvote. You can use minnowbooster anytime. And the second is @minnowsupport (discord), with minnowsupport you don’t need to pay/send any amount of SBD but there is a cool down time to use the bot. What is cool down time? If minnowsupport just voted you today at 12:00 PM you have to wait 24-30 hours before you can use it again.
Vote @steemgigs as witness owned by @surpassinggoogle. To vote go to https://steemit.com/~witnesses then type steemgigs at the vote section then click VOTE. If you want @surpassinggoogle as your proxy in witness voting type surpassinggoogle in the proxy section then click SET PROXY.

This is one article I would add to my #steemtips. It's nice to read and know how others made it here. Follow their tips and how it works too.
