The Collembola are a class of arthropods millimetric that inhabit all terrestrial environments with a bit 'of moisture. They are tiny, largely omnivorous animals, which contribute to the degradation of organic matter. They move slowly, but they can jump using a kind of organic spring placed under the abdomen.

Fasciosminthurus quinquefasciatus , discovered in Canada: it is probably an exotic species, because it is very warm in tolerance.

Sminthurides aquaticus : a common aquatic compound, photographed in England
Lepidocyrtus sp: photographed on a spider web.
Holacanthella paucispinosa : a giant species.
I. plumosus and young S. aquaticus , found near a pond.
Temeritas sp. : a kind of humid tropical areas photographed in Australia.
Allacma fusca : a very common species, large (approximately 3.5 mm), typical of the northern hemisphere.
