The Geg waterfall
The Geg waterfall is located on the northern slopes of the Gagra ridge in Abkhazia in the Gega river valley. This is a favorite place for filmmakers. Beautiful landscapes, unusual atmosphere and bright colors of the nature are ideal for making movies.
The waterfall has height nearby 50-70 meters. The height depends on the time of year and the volume of water in the river. When you first see at this miracle of nature, you get the impression that the water is flowing out from the middle of the rock.
The jets falling from the height and it is look incredibly, especially in a sunny day. Many droplets shimmer in different colors and that seems like precious stones. You can take some clear water in a small natural grotto, which is located to the left of the waterfall.
You can get to the waterfall by car. However, tourists prefer to walk here. A nice walk along picturesque and amazing places will bring an indescribable pleasure. The snow never melts at the foot of the mountain, so that is why the water temperature reaches 00 C. Therefore, it is better to get dressed warmly on a trip.
