The main characters do not like it when someone stare at them, call badly and show fingers. They acutely experience every evil joke from their peers, but they try to be strong and courageous.
Sisters for two have two heads, four hands, but only one pair of legs, and the girls are constantly under medical and psychological control. Parents try to support their children with all their might, but the mother and father soon lose their jobs. The way out, it seems, is only one - to put the history of the family on public display and sell it, as costly as possible. This is not an easy step, and it will take a lot of effort, but fate shows mercy, and the life of Siamese twins changes dramatically.
We are accustomed to accept life as a given, and do not think that somewhere in this world there are people who are unlike us. Whose life passes in the eternal struggle for survival and respect in society. The author was not too lazy to understand in detail the issue of the appearance of Siamese twins. She studied many real stories.
Of course, this is a story about love. Not everyone will be familiar, as the author tells from the person of one of the heroines, using a poetic form that is easy to read. On the one hand, the book seemed very interesting to me in terms of the topic and the disclosure of many questions, including purely physiological questions, which we never even guessed. But on the other - a sad ending, so for that the novel will be remembered more and will shock more readers, it seems unfair.
