The Ancient Insects & Skilled Hunters "Dragonfly"
According to the classification, dragonflies are divided into two sibordos, namely Anisoptera and Zygoptera. Needle dragonflies including to the Zygoptera sibordo and ancient dragonflies are the Anisoptera sibordo. This time I want to share dragonflies which are included in the Anisoptera sibordo, namely ancient dragonflies.
Why are they called ancient dragonflies, because these dragonflies are one of the ancient insect groups that are still alive today and have undergone several evolutions. There are thousands of species of dragonflies that still exist today with various body colors. Dragonflies have a distinctive appearance, namely a movable head, large eyes and two short antennae, an elongated slender abdomen and four transparent wings.
Actually dragonflies are a type of insect that is beneficial to the environment, especially farmers because it helps reduce insect-type agricultural pests. With a very strong wing structure and terrible legs, dragonflies are reliable and deadly predatory insects. Dragonflies have the advantage of catching prey while flying. They can fly fast and hover in place, fly back and forth and are able to maneuver in various ways.
