Social studies lesson entry: Communication

Hello everyone, dear steemkids friends. I am happy to be among you today and sharing this post with you. I am not a kid but I still want to participate in the social studies lesson as I found it really interesting. The lesson was about communication and its benefits and I will love to talk about it.

Define Communication

In my opinion, comunication can be defined as interaction between two or more persons. Through communicaton, we can express our thoughts and concerns with one another. It can be done through spoken words, writing or even signs.

State and explain forms of communication

The two forms of communication are the traditional and modern community.
The traditional form of communication is the one used in the olden days prior to our modern world. While the modern form of communication is the one we use today.

What are traditional and modern Communication devices and Mention for examples of traditional and modern devices used in communication.

Traditional and modern communication devices are those devices used in communicating with others or a group of people. They can also be known as aids to communication.

The traditional devices used for communication in the olden days include: Object like palm fronds, SWORD OR KNIFE, Pieces of clothes, leaves etc. Each objects had its own significant messages it conveys.

Other devices used in the traditional means of communication include:

• Smoke or fire lighting
• Gongs
• Drum beats
• Gun shots
• Flutes and horns
• etc,

The modern
The modern devices used for communicatiion incudes our cellphones, Radio, Television, print media, postal system, social medias, etc.

Discuss benefits of the modern form of communication

The modern forms of communication has been very helpful ad have made things very easy for us. We can now communicate easily with long distance and far away friends without much stress.
Modern communication devices has also helped to promote unit and understanding in the environment.
It has improved our social, economic, political and educational life.

Conclucion

Technology has been of great benefits to us and we are happy for its advancement everyday.
