Riding in the rain

Most birds avoid flying in the rain. Cyclists also avoid riding in the rain. However most of them (cyclists and birds) knows where it will rain in  the next few minutes just looking at least twice to the sky, a  five-minute interval between the looks.

There are clothes that are waterproof, but they seem to have been made only for bikers. These clothes too warm for use by cyclists living in tropical countries. So always carry a waterproof clothing, eg raincoat.

Umbrellas is a great solution for those who walk and those who will ride. Some people believe it is almost impossible to ride holding umbrella. However if the rain catch you on the way and if you have an umbrella,  so you can get off the bike and walk holding the bike and umbrella.

Some people prefer to use bicycle without mudguard. If your bike has mudguard then you can ride on wet and dirty roads without dirtying your clothes. It notes that on your way there will always be wet and muddy streets,  because the last rain or someone decided to wash the sidewalk a few  minutes ago.

It is possible to predict whether the climate will change in the next fifteen or twenty minutes. Note the sky brightness variation within a ten minute interval. If the sky darkened so it might rain in the next fifteen or twenty minutes. In the meantime you can ride five to six kilometers. Learn how to make this prediction before going home to work and you will never be surprised.
