The high rate of stealing in hostels

Stealing is a very rampant behaviour among youths this past years. Since the school hostels comprises of 90% youth between the age of seventeen and twenty five, which is probably the most active and aggressive period of most youths.
The high rate of stealing in hostels this days is very high and something should be done to curb this shameful act. Stealing happens often and nothing has been done to right this wrong, which gives people stealing the courage to do so again.
Students steal each other properties like, clothes, shoes, stationery and many more. They have even gone as far as breaking and forcing doors, wardrobes and cupboards open, only to steal someone else properties.
This unlawful act, which leads to hooliganism in the society has taken a brand new level, students now forcefully collect things from there collaguu, if the victim is reluctant to release the properties he he/she has on him, them he shouu be ready for the beating of his life, if not death.
There are reasons why students indulge in this kind of acts. Most students tends to steal simply because of greed. These so-called thieves steal another fellow properties even when they have there's, just because of greed and willing to have more at any cost.
Parents are also one of the causes of students stealing in hostels. Even though these parents pay for there children/ward tuition fees, they never lay emphasis on there welfare or there well being. When these students are not given enough to survive in school, they tend to make stealing an alternative.
I will urge school authorities to find all possible means to make these offenders face justice so as to scare others, this will also minimise and curb this act in hostels
