Time out

When you're forced to take time off

timeoff2.jpeg

I've mentioned before that I'm making it habit to take some time off Steem once a week. Well, there was some off-Steem time forced upon us all following the implementation of HF20.

It was like witnessing the creation of a new universe - with nothing splitting into matter and anti-matter

Most Steemians were anti-matter I think, as we all were plunged into negative mana - meaning we could not post anything due to insufficient "RC" (Resource Credits).

So what did I get up to?

I had been putting off some much needed housecleaning. No I don't mean vacuuming and dusting, I mean decluttering. I started during spring, but because of my epic summer travels, I was unable to complete it. I had been putting it off since I got back, because I had too much 'work' to do.

This sudden free time enforced by the posting outage was the perfect opportunity I had been waiting for. And as if by divine providence, the weather was superb these past two days. It meant I could have my doors and windows open to let the dust out, without freezing to death. It also meant I could leave cardboard boxes outside with my stuff inside without them getting soaked in rainwater.

I managed about 80% of it I think. I'm going to carry on tomorrow and see if I can finish it off once and for all. Well, for this year anyway.

What have you been up to during the down time?

Man good job and productive usage of the free time.

Like you mentioned it is rly necessary to take some steem-off time from time to time to keep focused on what we NEED to do and what we WANT to do.
I saw a lot of crazy and angry chatters yesterday and I am proud to see these downtimes positive.

Have a nice voting-free time my friend and keep steeming :)

Peace !

Hahaha. It's also time to appreciate the comments rather than the upvotes haha.
Thanks bro. Yea, I didn't even look once at Steemit. I only knew it was back when I got an alert on my phone that someone replied to an old post :)

Yeah haha crazy and minimalistic times we are into now :)

Yo, you bring up a very solid point of taking time off from steem. It was kind of cool to just sit back and reflect on what I'm doing on steem and where I want to head. Hah, yesterday felt like a snow day from school

Hahaha. Yeah. That happens a lot here in winter. For whatever reason, London can't handle a bit of snow, so things shut down often :)

Literally the best feeling ever haha

Haha good comparison @harshilpatel :) I enjoyed the snow free too yesterday ! Now start to move on slowly again so we are not going to slip and fall :)

Very productive day Ade nicely done.
