YouTube New Monetization Policy 2020 / 2021
Greetings,
The world of YouTube is ablaze again as they drop their new Terms and Conditions. Basically they will now be playing ads on videos uploaded by people that are not yet "monetised" on their platform.
The current requirements for monetisation are 1k subs and 4k hours of public views.
As it happens I just achieved the 4k hours of views this morning. 4001 hours !! Woop woop! However I don't have up to 1k subs, so no money for me :(
BUT, of course, there's money for me - here on DTube - hurray!
By the way, feel free to subscribe to my YouTube channel so I can start getting some of that sweet centralised money too :)

Youtube is still the best platform to upload and view video content but that title will no longer last if blockchain video platforms like DTUBE continue to do better and better improvements. I have two youtube channels that are monetized but I do not make too much money (I earn only between 30$ to 100$ a month). If somebody wants to monetized their content it is better to use blockchain video platforms :)

Youtube is so "big" it's hard to get noticed nowadays. I have a Youtube channel for 1 year now and I only have a poor 100 subs lol! I don't really care though.
On the contrary, platforms like Dtube and LBRY are in such early stages it's so easy to get recognized, build a brand/name and earn $$. Gotta love blockchain dude!
Yeah I've seen some "superstars" on LBRY that wouldn't even get 10 views on YouTube :)

Great video! Yeah they lowered the length of time required for a video to be in order to run multiple (mid roll as they are called) ads from 10 minutes to 8 now.
