Beetroot, A fruit that helps heart patients?
Introduction
I was reading through a website this morning trying to find something innovative for my blog this morning just as I was doing that. Somebody next to me had to say stop look at that beetroot. It’s a very delicious fruit so I decided to read about it and it was interesting.

The beetroot fruit which is very much known as beet are from the same family as sugar beets. Sugar beets are white in color usually used for extracting sugar and sweetening manufactured food. But sugar can’t be extracted from colored beets.

As important and sweet as the beetroot is it provides several vitamins the body needs daily.

Recent studies have shown that beetroot juice supplements may help enhance exercise capacity in heart failure patients.
The study examined the impact of dietary nitrate in beetroot juice supplement on the exercise capacity of eight different heart failure patients with reduced ejection fracture this condition means that these patients can’t get enough contraction and therefore oxygen-rich blood to the body.
These researchers found that the beetroot supplement, gave significant increase in their exercise duration, peak power a, d peak oxygen while exercising.
Another significant or important aspect of the study showed that there are no side effects from dietary nitrate.
