Small info regarding the World:

It is a fantasy world that has heavy asian/oriental theme and scifi elemets in a form of magic using technology (Flying Sky Ships, Wooden Robots, Magic created lights, force fields, holograms, etc. Lot of different races, Elves, Four Armed humans, Aliens, Elves, etc.

Celestial Agent

  • Female warrior working for the Gods of Light.
  • Has been blessed with angelic blood, which shows as halo of golden light over her head and a pure white horn (similar to unicorn/dragon horn) in the middle of her forehead.
  • She is dressed in very monk type styled clothing but more female styled.
  • She also has a tattoo, this tattoo is a common symbol for Agents of Light. This tattoo is either in her chest, arms, shoulders or stomach, which ever works the best.
  • White angelic Wings on her back.

You're welcome!

The ring above the head really changes everything, if compared to the previous stage. Awesome!

Thaaaaank you very much @edgarsart <3 hahaha can't agree more to that XD I think some parts add a huge impact on characters hihihi

Really great pose and I enjoy the smooth blend of Eastern and Western themes. The super soft feathers and sparkly halo are my favorite bits.

Thank you very much @see.feel.write I'm glad you have favorite bits from this piece hihi

i}m in love with the design and the 3d feeling, seriously this is just so cool.
May i ask, do you have any tutorials or books?, i would love to learn about painting like this ^^

Hi @edanya sorry for the late reply. To be completely honest I haven't relied much on tutorials. Well if you have visited my old posts I mention that I don't usually settle on a certain art style, I keep experimenting on the tools and when something worked for me, I apply it on my next artwork. The cycle just keep going. You can see the progress each time I post an artwork, I can't say that I have an art style because I trained myself to adapt to any style the client wants depending on the situation or project I am working.

Do you mean, "painting like this " , is it about my style?
Well this kind of style has grown from the process I do on my previous artworks. What process I like from the previous one, I applied it to the new one eliminating the process that doesn't work for me (basing on the previous work) and merging on the new set of process . These are a some process I constantly do: having the layer mode on soft light (from all the process post I did) and merging it on working with BnW and converting it to color (which I inserted the link to one of my post) and maybe this helps too.

So basically, experiment and practice. Creative-wise, it is really up to the artist's imagination, tho technical stuff can be studied like anatomy, form, shapes, values, etc.

I don't know if I make sense tho T_T

But here is a tip:
from the time I did this, I was not aware of the basic fundamentals, I just rely on what I see. If I think it's great for me, I will call it done. But my advise to you is to work on fundamentals. It is really important. because whatever style you want to do, you can make it as long as you have a solid foundation on the fundamentals :)

yes, I tried watching advance tutorials but I can't understand why and how they did that. it will just frustrate me so once again, if knowledge on fundamentals are there, you can definitely do everything and finally understand those advance tutorials. That's what I learned from my apprenticeship :)

I hope this post-like reply has helped you. sorry if it's confusing, please let me know T_T

Let me tell you @edanya, you already did a great job on you artworks <3 really! What I think that you needed to work on is dynamic poses :) try sketching a lot of moving pose, do some action, fighting pose perhaps, I mean do something crazy once in a while XD
