Don't Give Up

One of the greatest tragedies of anyone who wants to achieve anything positive in life is to give up before you reach your goal. There are too many people who surrender too soon, who do not complete what they want to achieve and in the end fail in achieving their purpose in life. I am not talking of being stupid but I am talking of being convinced of what we are going and want to achieve that no odds are too high, no challenge is too tough, no difficulty is too hard to overcome. Yes it will take determination and motivation but we can get plenty of those from the Word of God. For example, listen to what Paul says in Gal 6: 9: “So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up."

History is littered by people who have given up too early; but praise God is also full of people who have stood their ground and have carried on regardless of the obstacles because they knew that God was with them. People like Joshua facing the crossing of the flooded river Jordan or like David facing the giant Goliath or King David facing a huge army of Philistines or like Jesus who was rejected even by his own people and in the end even by his own disciples. And there could be many more examples like this! I myself could share several such testimonies. So today don't give up, don't quit but like Winston Churchill once said when Britain was about to be invaded by the Nazis "We will never, never, never, never give up!" The great thing is that God has not given up on you nor will He ever do so!
