But along the line, something changed
I became more than a means to an end

This is so nice, but this is a very sad poem, how I wish it could have an happy ending but there are no such things like that.

Love the rhymes in your poetry. But one thing that gets me worried about myself and poetry in general is that why are most poetries based or talking about love?

I don't know about others, but I believe most poetry are inspired by love, so writers just pour out their heart. Thanks for the comment
I used to love writing poems but stopped several years back. Reading yours just brought back the desire to write again.
