RE: Is SALT healthy? Episode #2 [DTube]

in #health6 years ago (edited)

Yeah, it's poison for plants. The Romans famously sowed salt into the fields around Carthage when the destroyed the city so that nothing could ever grow there again.

Salt water takes fresh water away from living cells through osmosis. It's like drinking sea water, it will only make you die faster, because it dehydrates you and takes fresh water away from your cells and vital organs.

Many kinds of cook vegetable would taste bad without salt!? How to solve this problem?

Stop eating them ;) I mean it takes some time to get used to it and everything, but I usually enjoy pumpkin a lot, and sweet potatoes and maybe also regular potato without salt. Some people like to add some lime or lemon to make it taste "edgy" - you could also try with different spices. I prefer eating them as they are, the more simple the vegetables are being eaten the less I feel a need for adding salt. I really recommend you to try and just steam or cook a whole pumpkin and eat it as it is. Taste great without salt, and is also a fruit ;)

Good point. Asian eating a salt diet. Indian eating a dairy diet. American eating a meat diet. Fruitarian diet is the healthiest.
