A Daily Dose: Always be the one!

I don't have expensive things and gifts, unlike the kids in my town. I live a simple life, and it's enough for me to appreciate every little thing I have. I was thought to cherish what I have for not all has the privilege to have them.

My parents always tell me those words, and they have anchored me to stay humble and kind. And instead of being ashamed of my life, I am proud of it for it shows me the value of life and teaches me lessons I should know.

When things get out of hand, I do sometimes get carried away because of the pressure around me. Somehow, it makes me forget the blessings I have. And when things like these do happen, I look back at the lessons and the people that thought wisdom.

It isn't hard to live a simple life. All you have to do is to live with gratitude. Be thankful enough that you're able to walk this earth. Acknowledge that morning is the beginning of a journey, and that evening is the end of a productive day.

That's how life goes on. We can't demand to have all the things that we wanted. We can't have that. We're not the ones who will say what tomorrow should be. But I know that we can be better day by day and that we can be braver to face what's ahead.

How can you not be so grateful for what you have? Many are asking to be in your position. You may not know it, but some people are hoping to have at least a simple life. And they knew how precious the blessings they receive.

I wish everyone would be more appreciative and grateful. What would the world become if everyone has gratitude? Just as how music soothes somebody's soul, a kindred heart could show a thousand reasons how. And with that, I'll continue appreciating my gift and sing songs with my old guitar.
