Introduction

Water is one of the most essential components of the earth and a necessity for survival for humans, plants, and animals. Water is a chemical compound, made of two atoms of hydrogen and one atom of oxygen. Water can be found in Lakes, Rivers, Dams, Seas, and Oceans. Water exists in three forms; Solid(Ice), Liquid (Water), and gas(Vapour). Water has diverse uses which are not only for drinking, but also for manufacturing, and agriculture, and some machines need water like cars to prevent overheating. Water is also used for recreational purposes for example swimming. Without water, there would be no life as it is an essential component of life.

If you save Water you save the whole world because without water a lot of things may go wrong. Purified water prevents disease and sickness that's why it's advisable to boil our water for purification. There are several ways to purify our water example boiling, adding of water guard, and breathing with chlorine which is called (chlorination). Filtration can also be used to purify water but it's not so safe.
Water for drinking is packaged in different ways to favor even the common man and they are still properly treated to ensure safe consumption.

Water is very essential for our survival as it aids digestion, gives us energy and keeps our system hydrated. Water makes up to 60% of the human body. It regulates our body temperature and it is essential for our organs.
Aquatic animals and plants depends on water to survive, most of them would go extinct without water. Water is as important as oxygen is, even more important as many things except humans would survive without oxygen but no one would be alive without water.

Should we prevent water pollution and why?

Yes, we should because water is very essential, and polluted water causes a variety of diseases and it is not good for our general well-being. Through polluted water a health pandemic could break out which would kill a lot of people. It could also damage aquatic and plant life.
By preventing water pollution we create a healthy environment for everything to grow.

What will the world look like if Earth runs out of food and water?

The world will not be a better place for humans, plants, and animals as water and food are part of our everyday life. If you go to the desert where there is an insufficient supply of water all year round you would understand the drastic effect of running out of water. That would mean an end to life itself. We are humans and we are made up of more water than any other substance.
There will be famine, drought and death.

In what ways we can keep water pollution-free and prevent water wastage?

• Firstly, by not urinating and defecating in water bodies like streams, lakes, pools, etc.
• By treating our water either by boiling, chlorination, addition of water guard and filtration.
• By establishing laws that prevent fishing men from using chemicals to catch fish.
• Creating awareness and campaigns that will sensitise the people on the importance of keeping water clean.
