Sensoji Fortune Box with Ramengirl and Karensuestudios
Last week we visited the Sensoji Temple in Asakusa, Tokyo.
Right out side the temple there was a omikuji, a place to get your fortune by paper.
You pray for the question you want answered as you shake a metal box with chop sticks in it. Out comes a chop stick with a number on it.
The number on the chop stick corresponds to a drawer where you pull a paper that answers your fortune.
This was my first time trying this out. I had @ramengirl walk me through the process 😊👍

Wonderful sights well done visit, Sensoji Temple is the oldest of all those temples in Tokyo. Most of the stories tell the history of the temple dating back to 645, making it back for more than 1,400 years. During the Second World War, a large part of the temple was destroyed, but then rebuilt in the original style. This makes the Sensoji Temple a flexible ticket to the Japanese people and an example of new beginnings Thanks for sharing our diary
Hahaha.. this is so interesting. I can see it in your eyes you don't believe in superstitions. Are there people who actually believe in the results from the omikuji. Otherwise your time in Japan is getting more and more fun.
