In a house cleaning frenzy last weekend, I ran over a pile of small rocks with the vacuum. There followed a deafening crunch, then smoke, and the motor burned out. I felt like a dummy. Since then, I've been to all the stores and searched all the catalogs but cannot find a worthy replacement. I never thought it would be this difficult to find a vacuum that doesn't suck.
