PSA - Don't deposit coins into Bithumb for the time being
Bithumb recently made a tweet warning their customers not to deposit any coins onto their accounts/addresses for now. Yes this means Steem as well, that's why I'm mostly creating this post for.
They noticed stolen coins worth up to 35 billion won/ 31 million USD and are sending all of their coins onto cold storage. This amount will be compensated by the exchange but for the time being deposits and withdrawals will remain closed.

This comes at a very bad time, when the market sentiment was starting to turn positive with the New York announcement... I will assume this was either another inside job or bad security measures...

I hope everyone's coins are safe... Earlier this year I had my nano (raiblocks) stolen from bitgrail in their most recent hack... It sucks... If anyone is reading this, get a hard wallet and store everything on there... It sucks to lose any amount of money...

Many many people are not receiving confirmation emails and therefore cannot withdraw coins. No response from CE themselves, and support tickets are not being addressed. Their twitter account is active but ignores questions and said issue. If you email them you do receive an automated response so emails are 100% coming from CE, but not the confirmation emails. Basically they must have turned off something so that you cannot withdraw your coins. Website was down for many hours today for some "spam" issue which seemed really strange. My best guess is, CE are running off with peoples coins/money.
That never good. Glad to hear they will be trying to compensate those affect. More exchanges need to start being customer friendlily and just trying sweep things under the rug and act like nothing happen.
