AskSteem: What AskSteem questions would you be interested in reading the answers to?

in #asksteem6 years ago

Not that I'm running low on ideas, but generally wondering what the accounts following and participating in them would enjoy reading in the near future. If you are open for sharing / instead of wanting to give away your genius question that no one has ever thought of before which would make you go steem viral than you don't have to participate but feel free to let me know when you post it so I can get them curation rewards, okay? :P

Alright jokes aside, I'll reward fun suggestions with an upvote for your time and thought into it, thanks for reading! :)

Maybe suggestions to questions could create a conversation as well in this post. :P

Here are some ideas for you:

  • As a percentage, how much of your life do you spend on Steem and Steem-related activities?

  • How many countries have you made friends in thanks to Steem?

  • What is the lowest STEEM price at which, if guaranteed it would never drop, you would feel comfortable quitting your day job and focusing on Steem full time?

  • What do you think is Steem's greatest weakness?

  • We tend to focus so intently on our journey to "the moon." If and when we get there, what will you actually do?

  • If and when mass adoption does take place, what do you think you will miss about "the good old days?"

  • Have you voted for @ocd-witness? If no, why the hell not?

Some really good ones in here!

Thanks straw; I aim to please ^_^

Dearest Steem,

I would like to ask you a question if I may. What is the minimal amount of effort required to keep steem working in the real world. What I mean is, if steemit inc was to go belly up, what do we need to keep it going? Is it just a case of having 21 witnesses able to run full nodes? or is there more infrastructure we need that I am not aware of?

Then the question is, what is the cost of running this minimum infrastructure?

If say that cost was $100,000 per year, could the foundation that is to be formed, putting aside $1,000,000 in back up funds that guarantee the blockchain will always be able to pay for 10 years worth of up time, should the current witnesses / steemit inc fail. (Or you could go and buy an insurance contract from Lloyd's of London, which would be cheaper than having to lock away $1,000,000).

That would remove a lot of the uncertainty and would encourage users and developers to invest more into this blockchain.

So steem, what do you think?

@kabir88

Who would you recommend to follow on Steem?

Some of the more fun and interesting people I’ve followed before on this platform came from recommendations by others. It’s easy to become complacent and enjoy the almost bubble we are in. I know I keep running into the same people over and over so I am guilty of that.

I'll make sure to do another for AskSteem and maybe add a "why" into the "who to follow" as well.

Yeah that's a really good one, I did do a few posts of renewing my following of the active Steemians a few months ago but it's really great when you find some authors you share interests with and they post about stuff that interests you at the time.

It is indeed very hard to find interesting steemians to follow. On one side we all do have different interests and on the other side lots of people are stepping down, go into hibernation mode and so on.
I did clean up my follow list last week and it was depressing to see how many accounts did stop writing posts!
A tip wich helps sometimes is to chech the feeds of people you are following, sometimes you can discover some real gems in there!

I have a genuine problem surfing my steemit feeds. When we select a particular tag we see all posts which are tagged in that particular tag.
There should also be a negative filter for the feeds which says all posts from 'contest' but no post from 'steemmonsters'. Because my contest feeds are super flooded with steemmonsters which I may not be interested in.
I assume that filters of tag provide me articles which have their first tag as the selected one.

@askanything is an education tool, we upvote questions.
The tag #asa is used to detect questions.
