A few Steemit Showerthoughts
If you think about the name Reddit for "read it", wouldn't "Seenit" be an awesome name for an Instagram Front-end for Steemit?
If the price goes up so high that 0.001 Steem is valued over 1 cent or more, we will have to add more decimals to curation rewards and vote scaling (i.e. going under 1%).
For artists showing their art on Steemit would be like hosting an art Exhibition, people can pay to view it and the artist receives payout rewards and gets to keep the art.
The last showerthought came to be from reading @igsters newest post which was kind of about @thisisbenbrick's post.
Sounds like a win/win. I'm all about presenting Steemit (and supporting apps) as a platform for artists and creatives... way better than Patreon or the likes; better than trying crowdfunding.
If we can use the SteemShop initiative (or something like it) as part of the picture, Steemit could rival Etsy... only better because artists can be rewarded for showing and selling.
Oh man, I feel like my mind has been blown constantly for 2 weeks since I joined here....really endless potential.
It really opens up possibilities for people like me who have been laying on a bunch of artistic output and collaborative ideas because I don't like to feel like I'm "selling myself", but obviously I hope to benefit from what I create because then I can focus all my energy on it and live comfortably. Keep those ideas coming :-D

haha did you really not know about shwoerthoughts already being a subreddit on reddiit? or were you just soley referring to the popularity of showerthoughts within steemit?

A planned/scheduled art exhibition could be cool! Then you don't upvote the post, but the single piece of art you like. That could be awesome. Then you can buy it in STEEM.
Showers are where it all happens for me! This is a good idea. It made me also all swimmy at the thought of the price going up so much that the decimals had to be added to! Toperoo!

How the resteeming system works and how does it pay to the creator as well who resteems. What is the curation award?
