Today is the longest day and the shortest night of the year in the northern part of the world.
When I go to bed (in Germany), it is bright outside and when I get up, the sun is already in the sky.
In more northern countries, like Sweden, the sun doesn't set at all.

There, the begin of summer is a reason for a big party. The people celebrate the whole "night".

But the begin of summer has for me also a light bitter taste. It is also the begin of the darker times of this year. Until today everything went up, got brighter. From now on, every day it get's a little bit darker.

But let us don't get pessimistic: The next months will be warm (or hot) and the automn is far away in the future ;-)
