The Sultanate of Aceh, Muhammad Dauh Syah in Aceh, he was born in 1871, he was appointed Sultan in 1878 when he was still seven years old, who succeeded Sultan Mahmudsyah.
But unlike other Acehnese sultans, Muhammad Daud Shah has a tragic and sad history of life. The Dutch colonial government threw Sultan Muhammad Daud Syah into Java on December 24, 1907
The Dutch thought the sultan could not be invited to cooperate with the Dutch who had already taken over Kutaraja. Sultan refused to sign a peace agreement with the Dutch.

Even the draft of the peace letter was torn down by Sultan Muhammad Daud Shah in Pendopo General Van Heutz (pendopo of the Governor of Aceh now). Not recognizing the occupying power, on 3 February 1903, the sultan by the Dutch was made house arrest (diintenir) in Keudah village, Banda Aceh.
He is only allowed to move freely around Kutaraja. Although under house arrest, the sultan was still able to exercise his influence in formulating a strategy of attacking the Dutch in Kutaraja secretly with the Aceh authorities such as Tuanku Hasyem Banta Muda, Teuku Panglima Polem Muda Kuala and Teungku Syiek at Tanoh Abee.
In 1880, Teungku Chik at Tiro Muhammad Saman who had just returned from Mecca also joined. Seeing this unfortunate condition, on December 24, 1907 the Dutch captured and cast the sultan with the nuclear family of his son Tuanku Raja Ibrahim and Teungku Bungsu and his followers to Bandung and Ambon.
